What is your favorite track and why?
Well that is a very tough question. Of the few tracks I have currently driven on, all have their own unique Mojo. The track the keeps you thinking, keeps the heart Rate high and is physically demanding has to be Queensland's Lakeside Raceway.
What or who inspired you to become a racing driver?
What is how I am going to answer this question..... Bathurst and Holden. Have been a Holden person since I can remember and although the sport is NO longer Australian Built Ford Vs. Holden, I still Hold a soft spot for the General. I remember as a child the story of my father driving to Bathurst with my Uncle. It was the last year of the Big Bangers.
Can I drive your car?
Surprisingly, I get asked this question a lot, and my answer is always, perhaps one day that is possible. I don't want to destroy young kids dreams. Just the same as when Brocky let me sit in his car when I was younger. I do let the kids sit in the drivers seat for photos and I may even start the car so they can hear the noise. The smiles I see are priceless.
How do I get started in racing?
My racing started with a budget car which I was going to race in the 24Lemons race. I never actually made the race due to financial constraints however over time, I had the car and the drive to make it better. I upgraded the car to look better and more professional and finally and just recently had engine and gearbox upgrade. Now with recent Mods, I am now able to compete in QRDC and QTCC competitions.
Can you tell me a little bit about your Racecar?
My racecar started off as a plain, and banged up 2003 Holden VY Commodore Executive. It had been converted from Auto to Manual by someone else, because when I received the vehicle, there was a whole bunch of spares in the boot. Since I have owned it, it has been transformed into a VY V8 Supercar (mostly). Everything has been done on a strict budget, and you can tell but I love my Dunnydore.
